About us!

We’re newlyweds who recently moved into a house that had nothing on our ‘what we want in our dream house’ checklist. We realized that the house doesn’t make the home. The location, the potential and the vision make it a home.

We wanted three bedrooms. We bought a house with two.

We wanted two bathrooms. We bought a house with one.

We wanted a garage. No garage.

We wanted at least 1200 square feet. Sticking with the common theme, we didn’t get 1200 square feet.

So, what did we get? A really old 1950’s style kitchen, a maroon and pink tiled bathroom, two bedrooms, a big living room, an unfinished basement, a driveway and half an acre of land.

We live outside Boston, where prices are very high. We quickly learned that we didn’t want to live an hour outside of Boston to have our dream home and we would rather buy a little house and eventually build up and build out over the years to come.

So this blog will help to motivate us to continue to turn our vision of this house into a reality.

Oh, and one more thing. We’re absolutely obsessed with our dog, Bocce.
