Wall Stencil

After debating a DIY wall stencil for the basement bedroom, I decided to go another route.

I attempted tracing a pattern in the rug, but that turned out to be tres impossible due to my own failure. Clearly, I can’t trace. I must have been absent that day in kindergarten.

Anywhoo….

Thanks to an amazon gift card from my beautiful sis (Hi Kristin!) I decided to make this purchase (okay, shhh…the gift card was actually for the hub, but he’s all sorts of excited about this, too. Promise. No really, I promise):

Completely unrelated to wall stencils, I also made this purchase. I couldn’t help myself. I almost bought 10, but I held myself back. I mean, come on. Is this not hysterical? I’m saving it for the perfect person when they have a baby shower. I’m not sure who that person is yet….clearly, you can’t give this gift to everyone. Duh.

Although, I’m not sure I could go the route of actually reading it to a child…and then posting the picture on amazon.com — WHAT WERE THESE PEEPS THINKING?!?!

Okay….back to the wall stencil. Yippee skippy. I’m very excited. I was motivated by the Pinterest challenge as posted by my blog crush, Sherry at Young House Love.

Some of the things I’ve pinned at pinterest….

So that’s that. Let’s see if I can actually do this. AND —- if it actually looks good. In my mom’s words, “Why don’t you just paint it one nice color?” That is her way of saying, ‘That sounds like a god awful idea.’
