My next project….
While I anxiously await the arrival of our rug (now delayed until tomorrow —- grrrr) I’m looking for my next project. I still have a few weeks before work begins, so I need something to make the time go by! Is it crazy that I’m actually semi-excited to get back to work?!?! Yeah, I thought so.
I really want to purchase this light for our bedroom/office downstairs:
Although I don’t want it to hang that low….or have that price….
I know my friend Amanda found one at Home Depot in Canada, but apparently they don’t exist in the US. I originally saw the light over at my blog crush, Young House Love but where they purchased it from does not carry it anymore.

A DIY capiz chandelier out of wax paper! I’m not sure I could do it, but I kind of want to try…..problem is, I need a sewing machine. I think I will be acquiring my grandmothers soon, but since I don’t have it yet I’m thinking I will bring this project with me next week when I go and spend some quality time with my family (and adorable little niece!).
Am I crazy for trying this? Is wax paper weird? Kind of? I think so….but maybe it really works. We shall see!
