To Do List

Here is our to do list. Yikes, it’s long and terrifying.

Here is the first floor to-do:

  • Paint bathroom
  • Purchase buffet for living room
  • Find the perfect under the window dresser for the master
  • Paint the dresser we have - SOLD IT!
  • Add nail head trim to the headboard in the master - Decided to re-do with new fabric
  • Paint trim Benjamin Moore Linen White
  • Add trim to doors - IN PROGRESS!
  • Install new front door

Basement to-do list:

  • Clean out basement and organize
  • Frame basement
  • Fix heat in entire house and install heat in basement
  • Electric in basement and new throughout house
  • Drop power lines underground
  • New plumbing throughout house
  • Add plumbing to basement to supply new bathroom
  • Plumbing inspection
  • Electrical inspection 
  • Framing inspection
  • Insulate basement
  • Insulation inspection
  • Install blue board
  • Plaster basement
  • Install doors
  • Install interior trim
  • Prime and paint rooms
  • Install new floor
  • Install new TV
  • More furniture downstairs
  • Lay tile in shower
  • Lay tile for bathroom floor
  • Install toilet/sink and shower faucets
  • Have plumber hook up water
  • Final inspection - electric and plumbing complete
  • Install cabinets throughout basement

Our ‘dream’ to do list:

  • Bump out to the side to create mudroom, garage and bonus room above garage
  • Bump out to the back to expand the size of the kitchen
  • Expand out to the side to add sun room
  • Go UP — move bedrooms upstairs and allow room for dining room and office on first floor
